Short Description: A boy’s field jacket or vest in nine sizes (18 mos, 2, 4, 6, 8)[10, 12, 14, 16], to knit in an allover tweedy textured stitch, with button front, set-in sleeves (vest has ribbed armhole trim), chest pocket, side hem slits, and shirt collar. All pieces are knit flat, bottom up, and seamed. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in a variation in size.
Gauge: 20 sts and 30 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on larger needles 20 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches in Tweed Rib Pattern on larger needles
Finished Measurements: 23.5(26, 26.75, 29, 30)[32.25, 33, 35.25, 36.25] inches/59.5(66, 68, 73.5, 76)[82, 84, 89.5, 92] cm around chest (buttoned) to fit with 4-6 inches/10-15 cm of ease

- size 5US (3.75 mm) for cuffs, hems, and trims (or one size smaller than body needle)
- DPNs or 16-inch circular same size as trim needle for vest armhole finish
