Short Description: This shawl was something that I dreamt of wearing for quite some time and when I met Lioness Arts Yarns I knew I had found the perfect material for it. The yarn was especially dyed to make it happen.
The concept is quite simple and it can be done in very little time…... I would say that the hardest part of this design was getting the yarn to come all the way from Brighton to Buenos Aires. It was totally worth the wait.
Gauge: 14.5 stitches and 23 rows to 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch, after blocking. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but changes might result in a smaller/larger shawl and therefore a different need of yarn.
Finished Measurements: 76 inches (180 cm) from side to side and 18 inches (45 cm) from top to bottom at deepest point (after blocking). Modifications for a smaller/bigger shawl can be found at the end of the pattern.
Materials Used: Yarn: Lioness Arts Silky DK (50% Merino-50% Silk) – 230yd/100g: 2 skeins. (Note: I used every yard of my 2 skeins).
Needle Size: US7 (4.5mm) knitting needles. Crochet hook for provisional CO.
