Snug Cap for All Sizes
Short Description: This is a knitting pattern for a snug cap in 18 sizes and knits up quickly in a range of yarn weights to fit any individual size. An optional trim of beaded I-cord "dreds" or tassel may be added. Includes worksheet for determining hat size, gauge, and cast-on number.
Gauge: 3.5 to 5 sts per inch; individual gauge to be calculated on worksheet included. Test swatch should be a firmly-knit fabric.
Finished Measurements: hat will range from 15 to 24 inches finished (above ribbing) to fit heads ranging from 17 to 27 inches; final size is determined by gauge, yarn, and needle choices
Materials Used: 100 to 200 yards of worsted weight yarn; 125 to 250 yards of DK yarn; 80 to 150 yards of chunky weight yarn
Needle Size: 16-inch circular in the size recommended on the yarn label for body, 16-inch circular one size smaller for ribbing (optional), 1 set of DPNs in same size as body needle
