Short Description: Sidere Shawl by The Yarniad. Sidere (Latin for starlight) is a lightweight asymmetrical shawl worked up in the lovely Starbright yarn from Luna Grey Fiber Arts. Knit from the top down beginning with just a few stitches, Sidere’s crescent shape is created with increases placed in every row and its asymmetry is the result of short rows worked in Stockinette stitch between bands of a very simple textured stitch pattern. The stitch pattern gives this airy piece a great deal of surface texture that resembles sparkling stars converging on one end of the shawl, and a picot bind off echoes the same texture at the edge.
