Short Description: Rose is a sweet coat named after a friend’s grandmother who knitted a similar one over 60 years ago. She is knitted top down and seamlessly.

Gauge: 18 sts and 27 rows = 4" in St st.

Finished Measurements: 6–12 months (1–2 yrs, 2–4 yrs, 4–6 yrs)

Note: Keep in mind that tweaking the gauge gives you more sizing options. For instance, knitting the largest size at 5 sts/inch instead of 4.5 sts/inch will give you a 26.5" chest.

Materials Used: Yarn Options:

  • 3 (3, 4, 5) skeins Quince & Co Lark (100% American wool, 134 yds/50g, 

          or

  • 3 (4, 5, 7) skeins Big Bad Wool Weepaca (50% fine washable merino, 50% baby alpaca, 100yds/50g),

          or

  • 2 (2, 2, 3) skeins Stonehedge Fiber Mill Shepherd’s Wool Worsted (fine wool, 250 yds/4 oz)

          or

  • 300 (400, 500, 670) yds any dk-light worsted yarn that gets gauge

Needle Size: 

  • US 7 circ 20" or longer for body
  • US 7 dpn or longer circ for Magic Loop for sleeves

Change needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
