Pinch of Spice by Samantha Guerin Designs | The Pinch of Spice hat is my perfect recipe for 95% “mindless knitting” and a 5% “pinch of spice.” The cables that create this pattern are intuitive and simple to work.
Gauge: Using US 6 / 4 mm needle, 21 sts and 28 rnds =4” / 10 cm in k2, p2 pattern, knit in the round, after blocking
Finished Measurements: The 2x2 rib creates a very stretchy fabric. If between two sizes, it is suggested to size down. Adult Sm (Med, Lg) Fits head size 19-21 (20-22, 21-23)” / 48-53 (50-55, 53-59) cm
Materials Used: Note: Yarns below are held together throughout the pattern. Alternatively, the hat could be knit with worsted weight yarn. Checking gauge is always recommended.
- Porter Wool Co., ‘Merino/Nylon DK’ (75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon, 245 yds per 100g) | Shown in color “Paprika Me Crazy!” |1 skein or 120 (135, 150) yds of a similar DK weight yarn
