Phlegethon Shawl by Aroha Knits | The Phlegethon is the river found in Greek Mythology leading to the underworld, also known as the river of fire. It also means “stream of fire” or a “fiery light”. The name for this shawl was inspired by both the colorway name (Fire Dreamer) and the fiery nature found in Dreamer Fiber Muses - their creativity cannot be tamed and their passion for color is unhinged.
This shawl is a top-down triangular asymmetrical shawl, with a border worked on the side at the same time as the body. Because the body is worked in simple garter stitch and the border is a simple eyelet pattern, it is a perfect ft for showing off your own hand spun yarn. The Dreamer Fiber Muse is the muse of self-expression, so let yours shine through the yarn you chose to pair up with this pattern!
