Gauge: small (cloche) size: 5 stitches per 1 inch / 2.5 cm; large (beret) size: 4.5 stitches per 1 inch / 2.5 cm
Finished Measurements: to fit an adult head, custom sized with button placement
Materials Used: samples are in: Alpaca with a Twist Highlander aran weight (one 145 yards / 130 meters skein); Malabrigo Merino Worsted (130 yards / 120 meters total in 2 colors)
Needle Size: size US 6 or 8 needles, size to get gauge depending on hat size choice, a 16” circular and a set of double pointed needles
Pattern Includes: instructions on how to make buttonholes, block, and work the short rows

Other Details: The difference between the 2 sizes/styles are mostly based on the gauge difference, so gauge is very important - the cloche style requires a significantly tighter gauge than usual; the hat can be made in one solid color or with contrasting stripes.
