Short Description: This bag is created from a bias knit strip sewn along the ends to from a tube. The bottom is picked up knitted along one edge then sewn on and the ruched top band is made by picking up stitches along the top edge. The decorative fabric tie weaves in and out of the bag and serves as a drawstring to retain the pleated sides. The bag structure is built from plastic canvas. Metal handbag feet, fabric lining and leather handles complete this sturdy tote.
Gauge: 12 sts and 16 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st, using US 11 (8mm) needles
