Nairobi Adventures by Kino Knits. A two-color crescent-shaped shawl designed for flexible yarn weight, gauge, and yardage.
Gauge: For fingering: 20 stitches and 40 rows = 4”/10 cm in garter, using larger needles, wet blocked and pinned out to dry
Finished Measurements: As this shawl is highly adaptable, the finished dimensions will vary with yardage; Sample used 199 g (888 yards/812 m) fingering yarn and measured 70”/178 cm for A (top edge/wingspan), 107/”272 cm for B (bottom edge), and 16”/40.5 cm for C (depth)
Materials Used: 2 colors fingering yarn; Recommend at least 100 g/3.5 oz skein (*Note: May use different weights if desired, though this will affect the finished size of the shawl.)
Needle Size: US 7 (4.5 mm) for fingering weight (*Note: Use smaller needles for finer yarn and larger needles for thicker yarn to achieve a drapey fabric.)
