Short Description: Convertible swingy cardigan / skirt with pockets! The short sleeves of the cardi get fastened closed to become the pockets; the piece is custom sized in any gauge to fit the knitter worn both ways.

Gauge: any gauge will work, but fingering to DK (or light worsted) weight is recommended, knit loosely, using needles a few sizes larger than you normally would

Finished Measurements: custom sized to the knitter’s body measurements; choose to make it shorter or longer (shorter/longer measurements depend on gauge)

Materials Used: enough yarn in any weight - vague (very approximate!) estimates are given in the pattern -- the samples are both in Hazel Knits Lively DK in Sedge, made for a large-ish body size; the short sample used a bit less than 3 skeins (approx 730 yards / 670 meters); the longer sample used 3 full skeins, plus partial skeins of three contrasting colors (Hazel Knits Lively DK in Low Tide on the sleeves, Anzula Cricket in Elephant and Key Lime on the body), totaling 1100 yards / 1000 meters

Needle Size: needles sized to match your yarn; either a long circular, used to knit the body flat and work magic loop method for the sleeves, or any kind of needles (straight or circular) for the body worked flat, plus a set of double pointed needles the same size for the sleeves in the round

Pattern Includes: very detailed sizing/measurements/fit info for finding your own custom numbers, schematic, written pattern, process photos, details and photos for wearing different ways, techniques instructions and two different technique photo tutorials

Skill Level: intermediate

Other Details: Closures require 2 larger buttons (around 1-1.5 inches across) and 4 smaller buttons (probably around .5 inches across); pockets require some kind of ribbons or laces to close by lacing through the eyelet holes. You can find a video of how it’s worn different ways on the Lopes page of leethalknits.com
