Short Description: Karree by Zatar Knits. Starting with a tubular cast on and a 1x1 rib. Karree Hat is knit in the round with either DPN's or the magic loop method. The pattern is an easy to follow knit and purl stitch combination which created squares and some fun bobbles in between. After the crown decreases you'll close off the remaininng stitches with the kitchener stitch. Tassels are optional. When I was a child playing outside, my mother would often tell us: 'But please stay inside the Karree!' which can be translated to 'stay in this block', meaning the are of houses we lived at. I remember playing with all neighbourhood children outside, riding bycicles, hiding in bushes, painting the street with chalk. All kids are grown now and have moved out, however the parents still live there- in our Karree. Karee (from the French word carré)= square; rectangle arrangement of townhouses.
