High Desert Beanie by The Shetland Trader | This is a beanie/hat version of my High Desert Yoke pattern.
Gauge:
- 27 sts & 32 rounds = 10cm / 4” over Fair Isle Pattern on 3.5mm needles after blocking
- 28 sts & 40 rounds = 10cm / 4” in Rib Pattern on 3mm needles after blocking
Finished Measurements:
- Circumference at brim: 18” / 46cm
- Length from brim to crown as worn: 9” / 23cm
- Circumference at widest point: 21 ¾"" / 55.5cm
Materials Used: Fingering weight yarn in the following amounts:
- MC: 85 yards
- CC2: 70 yards
- CC2: 65 yards
- CC3: 35 yards
- CC4: 35 yards
- *Note: Allow approx. 40 extra yards if making a pom pom.
Needle Size:
- 3.5mm / US 4 circular needle, 40cm / 16” length (for body of hat)
- 3.5mm / US 4 DPNs or long circular needle (if working magic loop for crown of hat)
- 3mm / US 2 circular needle, 40cm / 16” length (for brim)
