Short Description: Brookfield is a single skein wonder that results in a surprisingly wide and flowing crescent shaped shawl. It is the perfect match to that “must have” skein of fingering weight yarn I know you couldn’t leave the store without. Worked on a large size needle, and with easy to memorise sections, you’ll find a finished shawl (perhaps for someone special?) before you know it.
An open gauge slip-stitch pattern and contrasting garter stitch rows complete a shawl that is happily dressed up or down, and one that suits many different styles. The subtle picot hem adds the perfect finish, and shines most at each shawl tip. What opens up beautifully when blocked is a textured but delicate piece, that falls light upon your shoulders, however worn, just perfectly so.
Gauge: "14 sts x 22 rows = 4”/10cm in garter st, blocked. Gauge is not crucial for this project, however changes might result in a different yardage requirement.
Finished Measurements: "84”/213 cm wingspan, 17”/43 cm deep.
