Cherry Cola Cardigan
Short Description: "The name of this pattern comes from the colors I used, and that fact it is sock yarn. I think about the 1950’s and “sock hops” and cherry cola’s! The pattern is a classic cardigan yet with modern features that will always keep it in fashion - unlike the old soda shops!
One thing that I have never understood about children’s patterns is that many of them are made with worsted weight yarn. While I understand the need to use a less expensive acrylic yarn for children (I have 2) you don’t have to stick with worsted weight. Using a yarn that it is a fingering weight, the fabric has drape and doesn’t make the child look like the Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters.
