Product Description

Short Description: Aster is a wrap-over cardigan worked from the top down. The armhole stitches are picked up and sleeves are worked separately.  The neckline is a lace strip pattern worked with the body, separating the stockinette stitch of the body and the twisted ribbing of the neckline. A tie ends the body and ties up the wrap-over cardigan at the side.

Gauge: 26 stitches and 34 rows = 10 cm/4″ in Stockinette stitch on larger needles, after blocking.

Finished Measurements: Finished bust measurements: (80, 85, 90, 95) 100, 105, 110, 115 (120, 125, 130, 135) cm / (31 ½, 33 ½, 35 ½, 37 ½) 39 ¼, 41 ¼, 43 ¼, 45 ¼ (47 ¼, 49 ¼, 51 ¼, 53 ¼)″

Materials Used: "Yarn: Approx. (900, 1020) 1140, 1260 (1380, 1500) meters/(980, 1110) 1240, 1370 (1500, 1640) yards of solid or semi-solid fingering weight yarn. The sample was knit with a 100 % merino fingering weight yarn (400 m [440 yds] per 100 g skein)

Needle Size:

  • 3.5 mm/US size 4 (80 cm/32 ins minimum) circular needle or size needed to obtain the correct gauge for the body and the sleeves
  • 3 mm/US size 2 needles for the lower edge ribbing of body and sleeves
