Product Description

Short Description: This long, elegant, raglan style cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top-down, and features easy-to-memorize, geometric lace panels on the back, fronts, and sleeves. The garment is fitted through the waist, and has a deep v-neckline, button closures, and pockets.
The name of this design honors poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou (1928-2014), whose self-revealing literary works have empowered generations of women to express themselves through writing and many other art forms.

Gauge: 22 sts and 36 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch with larger needles

Finished Measurements: 32 ½ (36, 39 ¾, 43 ⅜, 46 ¼, 50 ⅝, 54 ¼)” bust

Materials Used: Sport (#2 fine). Shown Here: The Plucky Knitter Traveler Sport (65% wool, 20% silk, 15% Yak; 325 yd/ 100g hank) Plie, 4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7) hanks.  About 1234 (1350, 1467, 1594, 1707, 1835, 1991) yards total

Needle Size: Body (gauge needle): U.S. size 5 (3.75 mm) 24” circular needles and set of double pointed needles (dpns).  Adjust needle size to obtain stitch gauge
Ribbing: U.S. size 4 (3.5 mm) 24” circular needles and set of double pointed needles (dpns) (or one size smaller than Gauge Needle).
